Please join the Miss Florida Scholarship Program in welcoming two new members to the Board of Directors
Jaclyn Raulerson Dicks has been involved with the Miss Florida Organization since 2004. She first began competing as a teen contestant, eventually winning the title of Miss Florida in 2010 and representing the Sunshine State at the 2011 Miss America Pageant. At Miss America, she was a Quality of Life Award finalist in recognition of her efforts with her platform, “Stop Bullying Now!” As Miss Florida, she traveled over 35,000 miles throughout the state, promoting anti-bullying awareness in Florida public schools and developed partnerships with various non-profit organizations.
Jaclyn is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications. She has since served as a judge for local preliminary and state pageants within the Miss America and Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Organizations and has served on the Miss Hilton Head Island Board of Directors in South Carolina. Jaclyn is currently an Owner Advisor with Tesla Motors and is residing in San Diego, California with her husband, U.S. Marine Corps Major, Jarod Dicks, and their chocolate Labrador Retriever, Jackson.
Nongongoma P. Majova-Seane, M.Ed. is the current Principal of The Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville, FL. A native of Dube, Gauteng, South Africa, Ms. Majova-Seane earned her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Edward Waters College, her Master of Mathematics Education and Certificate of Educational Leadership from the University of North Florida and was Declared All But Dissertation (ABD) in UNF’s Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership. She has extensive experience in complex budget processes, facility operation, selecting and retaining personnel, conducting communications and public relations, and handling other management related situational matters. Ms. Majova-Seane prides herself in serving as an agent of change leading to school reform.
This year, Nongongoma was one of only ten in the Nation to be awarded the Terrell H. Bell Award for Outstanding Leadership and she received the Duval County Public Schools’ Superintendent Coin of Excellence. Ms. Majova-Seane was also Duval County’s Senior High School level Nominee for the 2002 Commissioner’s Outstanding Assistant Principal Achievement Award Program and received the Women of Color Cultural Foundation 2007 Education Award. Nongongoma and her husband, Oupa, have one daughter, Lerato, who was a former local candidate in the Miss Florida Scholarship Program. She is an avid reader, enjoys mentoring young women, judging pageants and cooking.
