Both institutions have offered two, full-tuition awards to the winners of Miss Florida 2019 and Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen 2019
June 17, 2019-- The Miss Florida and Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen organization is pleased to highlight its generous, institutional partners in academic excellence for 2019. Stetson University and Florida Southern College will now be offering full, four-year tuition scholarships to both winners of the Miss Florida and Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen competitions.
Together, these awards total more than $690,000 in academic value, in addition to the $55,000 in cash scholarships that will be made available to winners and candidates of both competitions.
“We are so grateful to Stetson University and Florida Southern College for their acknowledgement of the caliber of our candidates, who are not only poised, talented and philanthropic, but scholars,” said Executive Director for the Miss Florida Scholarship Competition, Keith Williams. “To be able to offer this level scholarship assistance to the young women of Florida is an incredible accomplishment and we could not do it without our generous partners in higher education.”
Stetson University, located in DeLand, Fla., will provide two (2) awards valued at $190,000 to be used over the course of four years. Each full-tuition scholarship from Florida Southern College, based in Lakeland, also the competition's home, is of $150,000 value.

Terry Dennis. “It is an honor to partner with the Miss Florida Scholarship Pageant, Inc. to further impact the lives of bright and talented young women.”
The 2019 Miss Florida and Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen Scholarship competitions will be held June 26 - June 29 at the Youkey Theater of the RP Funding Center in Lakeland, Florida. 59 representatives from across the state will be vying for the chance to become Miss Florida 2019 and Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen 2019. They will not only represent the sunshine state at Miss America and Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2020, but as official brand ambassadors for Advanced Recovery Systems and the Everglades Foundationduring their years of service.
